Furniture Finishing – We are now running a Furniture Finishing course. This course is designed for the finishing of raw timber projects. Please refer to our course information for dates.

Furniture Restoration - We are also taking expressions of interest for a 30 hour furniture restoration course. This course is designed for the clients who have a tired old masterpiece that is in need of restoration. If you are interested in this course could you please send us an email so the best time to run it can be determined?

Wood Show 8th 9th 10th August – We will again be at this years show at Claremont Showgrounds. A vast array of students and commission work will be on display. As well as this we will be demonstrating at the show. Please call in for a chat or just to have a look at what we do.

Veneering and Marquetry course - Perth Wood School are pleased to invite all wood workers to a five day Veneering and Marquetry course run by Katalin Sallai. Katalin is based in NSW and is going to be in Perth for this years Wood Show. While at the show Katalin will be based on the Perth Wood School display area as well as giving some demonstrations in the “Artists in Residence Area”

The course will be running from Monday 11th August to Friday 15th August from 9am to 4pm each day. The cost of the course will be $495. In the course participants will complete a small box incorporating Marquetry and Veneering techniques. Click here for more.

Advanced Routering with Tom O’Donnell - This course will be run by Tom O’Donnell and is specifically designed to show customers how much more can be accomplished using the router. Many would of heard of Tom and the amazing things he can do with a router. The session will incorporate the safest way in which to use the router, the use of the template guide, different templates and types of jigs, and simple project ideas.

This is a 6 hour course and is happening on the following dates: Thurs 28th Aug & Thurs 4th Sept (6.30pm - 9.30pm), or Fri 29th August (9.00am - 4pm including breaks for lunch and morning tea)
